The Wankhede Stadium celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand ceremony on Sunday, attended by dignitaries and cricketing greats. Since its establishment in 1974, the renowned stadium has witnessed many momentous cricket matches, solidifying its reputation in contemporary cricket history.

In addition to honouring groundskeepers and support workers, cricketing luminaries and captains from the past and present also expressed their feelings at the week-long festival organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
