MI vs CSK: The much-anticipated Indian Premier League 2025 will begin on March 22 and Mumbai Indians will start their IPL Journey on March 23 against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings.
However, MI skipper Hardik Pandya has been handed a one-match ban. This penalty came due to his disciplinary issues in IPL 2024. He was penalised for a slow over rate on three separate occasions. He was fined twice for a whopping 30 lakh rupees, and the third time, for a slow over-rate. This has now caused him to miss the Mumbai Indians’ first match of IPL 2025.
With Hardik’s absence, Suryakumar Yadav is in the next place to take over the captaincy.
