IPL 2025: BCCI Might Ban Indian Players for This Reason

IPL 2025: The rich cash league Indian Premier League 2025 is set to begin in March 2025 after the completion of the much anticipated Champions Trophy. Ahead of the IPL 2025, there is shocking news for Indian Players.

It is known that BCCI has issued 10 strict rules for the players to promote discipline and a positive environment. The important rule in that is the players have to play the domestic matches when they don’t have international matches. If not the board will take disciplinary actions against the players including banning them from all BCCI-conducted tournaments including the Indian Premier League.

Here is what BCCI Says:

The BCCI stated: “All players are expected to adhere strictly to the above guidelines. Any exceptions or deviations must be pre-approved by the Chairman of the Selection Committee and Head Coach. Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the BCCI.

“Additionally, the BCCI reserves the right to take disciplinary action against a player which may include

(i) Sanction against the concerned player from participating in all BCCI-conducted tournaments including the Indian Premier League
(ii) deduction from retainer amount/match fees under BCCI Player contract.

This measure ensures accountability and reinforces the importance of adhering to established policies and prioritising Indian cricket.

However, there were reports that Virat Kohli has not shown interest in playing in the upcoming Ranji Trophy which is scheduled to play from January 23. Let’s see what will happen.
