BCCI New Rules For Players: To promote discipline, unity, and a positive team environment, BCCI directed 10 points to all players on Thursday. It includes restricting players from travelling on tours with personal employees such as personal security guards, stylists, hairdressers, or chefs. Additionally, players will no longer be allowed to use independent transport to commute for practice sessions or matches. Family members accompanying players on tours will also face strict limitations.
In this context, social media is buzzing about whether senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja will play in the upcoming domestic Ranji Trophy.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, Virat has not officially confirmed his availability for the match. However, the report claimed that it is highly likely that Virat “will join the Delhi team in Rajkot and train with the team even if he were not to play in the match”. If he ends up playing the match, this will be the first time since 2012 that he will play a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi. Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has already confirmed his availability.
Rohit Sharma joined the practice session in Mumbai, while Shubman Gill will represent Punjab against Karnataka. It will be interesting to see whether the players will play.
